Being Politically radicalized
Being politically radicalized began the night before that inauguration day.
I went on a solo mission to the Busboys & Poets Peace Ball, where I heard Angela Davis, Naomi Klein, Alice Walker, and many other mighty voices forewarn what these past four years were going to descend into. I was privileged to hear those words then, and I’m privileged to be still standing four years later.
The incredible Guia Golden (USA BFF) arrived late the night after, and together we marched with thousands of people for the first-ever Women’s March. Guia and I knew that no matter what was about to happen, we had to make our voices heard. It was a very cold day.
